It’s almost a month left to summer and the outdoor decor and landscaping are more topical than ever. This garden is a nice source of inspiration for those interested. It is the creation of the landscape architect Nathan Burkett called “Equilibrium”. This garden design signals a return to soft, usable spaces in which, instead of traditional “hard” landscape elements, a lot of green is used to create structure and symmetry in nature. One of the main features of the garden is a cantilevered arbor that wraps around the perimeter to create an architectural “frame” within which the rest of the garden sits. The seating area is paved with elaborate brickwork that continues along the base of the garden, interspersed with soft lawns and a pond subtly tiled with Italian glass. Take a look at the pictures and be inspired!
