Most homeowners face the problem of a lack of space: we often have small bathrooms, entry areas, kitchens and even bedrooms. Such rooms as guest rooms are also often small, although we have to have a lot of space inside so that the guest feels comfortable. How do I design a comfortable guest room with everything necessary? Here are some tips and examples.
Buy a functional bed
A large bed takes up most of the space you have, but your guests will be comfortable sleeping in it. So, it’s a good idea, and rocking large-format pieces will add a more modern look to your space. Reduce the number of other furniture in the room if it is really small. As for the bed itself, choose a functional bed with a headboard with storage or storage space. Bringing the bed closer to the wall creates the impression of more space and makes it easier for your visitors to access the bed.
Use hanging lamps
A chandelier, a lantern or a pendant lamp create a lot of space on the floor. In addition, the chandelier becomes a chic focal point of the small guest room. As for bed space, you can use wall lamps or pendant lights so a bedside table is not strictly necessary.
Add visual appeal
Each mirror makes the room look bigger, and your guests may need them to dress. You don’t even need an extra large one – a small mirror is enough and has the same effect. White curtains, for example, soften the light and make the guest room very appealing. When done right, the curtains make an otherwise small space appear larger. Keep the space neatly arranged: put only the necessary furniture and don’t add anything. Avoiding large format pieces is only great if you have a lot of furniture. If not, a large bed and chair will be fine and give the room a more modern look.
