Mint Kitchen Design

This stunning kitchen was created by Black Lacquer Design. It’s so airy, full of light, inviting and cool that I think I would spend a lot of time there!

The entire space is decorated in a mid-century modern style with some industrial features. I love double doors and windows everywhere that fill it with light, it’s very important to create an ambience. The color scheme is light-hearted: mint, blue, white, brass, and light wood.

Since the kitchen is very spacious, there are several zones: a cooking zone, a dining zone and an office. The light and airy feeling in the kitchen is emphasized by the mint green color of the cabinets in combination with the beautiful encaustic tile floor and the brass accents. I love the transition between the floors: tiles and warm wood, and there is a jute rug on top of the tiles that connects the two.

The L-shaped kitchen island doubles as a dining table. A number of industrial stools create comfortable seating. A comfortable home office corner in the corner also has plenty of cabinets and a working table top. This is not a real home office, but a convenient corner to write and fill in documents.
