Japanese studio Nendo has designed a collection of furniture and housewares for Danish brand BoConcept that includes a seat that appears to embrace itself and accessories with origami patterns. The thirteen-part Fusion series was designed by Nendo to combine elements of Japanese and Danish design. As the name of the collection suggests, we wanted to create new features and visual effects by fusing two different elements together. The BoConcept range of accessories are patterned with geometric shapes based on the Japanese art of origami paper folding. There are cups, pillows, a flat day bed, shelves, tables, clocks and an armchair in different colors and patterns inspired by origami.
