About Blogus Mag

Small creative projects, practical paper studies, and everyday observation guides with original diagrams and worksheets.

Blogus Mag is an independent English-language journal about small creative projects and closer observation. We publish approachable ways to work with paper, drawing, words, and the ordinary things around you.

Our starting point is a bounded question: how can eight small pages carry one idea, what does a different crop change, or which detail makes an object recognizable? A useful project has a clear first version and a sensible place to stop.

Three departments, many possible beginnings

Guides include worked examples, original diagrams, and practical worksheets. They are designed to help you make a decision while trying a project, rather than requiring a particular brand of materials or a large collection of equipment.

A small-project approach

A single folded sheet can test a publication idea. Several thumbnails can compare a drawing before a long session. A page of notes can reveal a sound, shape, or texture that would otherwise pass unnoticed. The scale stays small enough that a second version remains practical.

The exercises are original illustrative examples. They are not documented classroom trials, professional commissions, or claims that a particular creative method works for every person. You can change the materials, subject, time, and level of detail to fit your circumstances.

How this journal is made

Blogus Mag Editorial identifies the publication, rather than an individual credentialed art teacher or professional designer. The launch collection was drafted and organized with AI assistance. The vector illustrations are original explanatory diagrams created with AI assistance; they do not document physical prototypes made by the publication.

We prefer primary sources for a specific technique or institutional material, and distinguish those sources from our own examples. The Editorial Policy explains sources, corrections, visual disclosures, and advertising.

Respect the material and the setting

Use your own material or material you have permission to reuse. Observation exercises should respect people, private spaces, and local access rules. The guides do not replace a source’s actual reuse terms or establish permission to photograph someone.

Public comments and guest publishing are not currently enabled. To report an error or suggest a topic, use the private contact form. For a first project, visit Start Here or explore the full collection.
